not gonna lie this is driving me nuts curious how others handle this: when do you use proixes, and when do you edit native?? im working with 10-bit phone footage on a gaming PC and want a reliable workflow without wasting hours. I want smth reliable that I can use for every project, not just a quick hack. what does your workflow look like from import to export?? curious to see how differently everyone handles this.
EDITING 10-BIT PHONE FOOTAGE ON A GAMING PC: WHAT WORKFLOW KEEPS YOU SANE?
Accepted solution
Jump to the replylong-GOP codecs like H.264/H.265 are hard to decode, especially 10-bit 4:2:2. proxies or optimized media turn them into edit-friendly files, which often matters more than raw hardware power. fingers crossed 馃

ok so my GPU supports some H.265 decoding, but maybe not 4:2:2. sorry for the wall of text lol
h.265 mp4 renders fail, other formats work. whats going on?
