  1. im literally losing my mind here hot take: render cache only is overrated for most projects, or is it? i edit multicam 4K on a recent desktop, and Id love to hear real experiences before i commit to a workflow, experiences from people with similar hardware would be especially valuable 馃憤 what made u choose your current approach? any advice is welcome, especially from ppl with similar hardware, i will report back with what i pick.

  5. ok so for quick projects or short clips, native editing is often fine. for long-form or multicam work, proxies save a lot of time overall. lmk how it goes

  8. render cache is great for effects-heavy clips, while proxies help with decoding. many editors use both.

  11. lol same thing happened to me store proxies on a fast SSD separate from source media if possible, and clean them up after projects to manage disk space. worked for me anyway 馃し
