  1. long time lurker first post lol ive played fighting games uncapped forever cuz I thuoght more FPS always means less lag. then a friend told me to cap at a few frames below my 120 Hz refresh rate with RTSS. it honestly felt smoother. now Im confused. whats the actual answer here? ;) ive seen people swear by both approaches, and the explanations online contradict each other. im not a pro, but Id like to understand whats actually happening with input lag here. thx in advance for sharing what works for you. seriously need help here 😭

  3. oof in-game limiters are often the lowest latency option because the game knows when to start the next frame. the driver limiter is a good second choice. etxernal tools like RTSS give very stable frame times but can add a little latency.

  4. oof frame time consistency matters more than average FPS for perceived smoothness. A stable capped rate often feels better than a fluctuating higher one.

  6. @malik_lucky omggg tested with a frame time graph like suggested, the capped line is way flatter.. 😅 sticking with the cap.
