  1. There are so many opinions about frame caps. Some say use teh in-game limiter, others say never cap in MOBAs. Id love to hear what pepole actually run on 144 Hz screens and why. Please share ur setups and what made you choose them. Bonus points if youve actually measured teh difference instead of going by feel. i promise to report back with what i end up using.

  2. does your GPU hit 99% usage in a racing game when uncapped?

  4. make a backup before u touch the firmware, learned that the hard way hope that helps :)

  5. capping reduces heat, power and fan noise, especially in menus. many games also have a separate menu frame limit setting.

  6. in-game limiters are often the lowest latency option because teh game knows when to start teh next frame. the driver limiter is a good second choice. external tools like RTSS give very stable frame times but can add a little latency.

  7. hmmm if u play competitively and see big FPS swings, test both with a frame time graph.. :/ use what gives the flattest line at an acceptable latency.

  8. oh also mods can we pin this thread. reading this at 2am instead of sleeping, no regrets :)

  9. been there man uncpaped can reduce latency in some competitive games when the frame rate is far above refresh, but only if teh GPU isnt maxed out 😭 A GPU at 99% usage queues frames and actually increases latency. reflex or Anti-Lag help with that. worked for me anyway 🤷

  10. ahh classic with VRR (G-Sync or FreeSync) the usual recommendation is: enable VRR, enable V-Sync in the driver, and cap a few frames below teh refresh rate. that keeps u inside the VRR range and avoids tearing and V-Sync latency. fingers crossed 🤞

  11. hmmm for me it was the cable. swapped it and boom, fixed. any update on this? good luck man!

  14. i swear vsync is cursed. make a backup before u touch the antivirus, learned that the hard way

  15. @tariqh36 capping with the in-game limiter dropped my GPU temps a lot and i honestly cant feel any extra lag. cant believe it was that simple lol
