real story: I installed Fedora for a gamer six months ago. most things just work. the one ongoing headache is fingerprint readers. I'm curious whether others have had the same experience, and whether we're honest enough about the rough parts when we recommend Linux to people. everything else has been smooth: updates, browsing, video calls. nobody has called me about a virus once, which is a first. so is the problem Linux, or my expectations?

The only must-have is the thing related to fingerprint readers. Everything else has alternatives. hope thats enough info 😅
@rowanw747 tested a live USB on their machnie, everything worked except fingerprint readers, which we solved with a workaround, now Fedora is installed and theyre happy. owe u a beer 🍺
