  1. help!! hot take that i want challenged: for a returning gamer after ten years, a prebuilt is the smarter choice lmao you get one warranty, no compatibility guesswork and a working system on day one. i have a firm 800 dollars for photo editing. prove me wrong, or tell me Im right. i will happily admit defeat if someone shows me a convincing build list, but i want real reasons, not just building is fun. fun is not a warranty. seriously need help here 馃槶

  4. yeahhh building is very doable for a beginner if you take your time. read the motherboard manual, especially teh front panel connector and RAM slot pages. most first build prbolems are RAM in the wrong slots or a missing CPU power cable. hope that helps :)

  5. ahh classic whatever u choose, enable XMP or EXPO in the BIOS afterwards... alot of new systems, prebuilt and self built, run their RAM at a slower default speed.

  6. hmmm exact same thing happened to my second monitor setup last month... make a backup before u touch the DNS, learned that the hard way lmk how it goes

  7. ahh classic a self build gives u one warranty per part, which is good for repairs but means u diagnose problems yourself. A prebuilt gives you one support line, which is great if you dont want to troubleshoot. lmk how it goes

  8. Prebuilts often save money on the power supply, the motherboard, single channel RAM or a weak cooler. If you go prebuilt, check the full part list, not just the CPU and GPU names.

  13. oh ive been there lol middle ground: many shops will assemble teh parts you pick for a fee... you choose quality parts and still get someone else to do the building and teh first boot. lmk how it goes

  14. is prebuilt even worth bothering with or should i just leave it

  15. hmmm for a first build, do a test boot outside the case on the motherboard box with CPU, one RAM stick, cooler and PSU, if it posts there, everything else is cable management.

  16. Ill defend prebuilts more than most. Some mainstream ones are well built now, and for someone who just wants it to work, thats a legitimate choice.
