hmmm broadly: gaming branches ship faster with optimizations for new releases. Studio/stable branches ship less often and focus on validation with creative apps. Both run games and apps fine. The difference is cadence and test focus, not capability. hope that helps :)

lol

  1. help!! every time i open the NVIDIA app it asks which branch i want and i click whichever is selected. now i'm doing serious photo editing with deadlines and i care more about stability than the newest game fixes. is the slower branch genuinely more tested, or is it teh same driver with a different label? i would also like to know if switchnig branches is painful, or if it is just a matter of downloading a different package and installing it cleanly. thx in advance!!

  3. check your creative apps system requirements page. some list a minimum driver version for GPU acceleration features. make suree whichever branch you pick meets that. worked for me anyway 馃し

RAM prices doing their own thing again smh

  5. lol same thing happened to me switching branches is easy: download teh other package from teh NVIDIA support page and install it with teh clean install option (or DDU if u wanna be thorough)... your apps dont need reinstalling.

  6. oh ive been there lol if work with fifty open tabs pays ur bills, the stable/studio branch is a sensible default 馃敟 Games still run well on it; you just get new game optimizations a bit later.

  7. hmmm don't hop branches every week. pick one, note the version, and only change when somtehing u need is fixed or added... frequent switching makes troubleshooting harder. good luck man!
