ok weird one genuine question from someone who doesnt fully get it.. 馃檹 if my base frame rate is 50 FPS and driver-level frame generation doubles the number on screen, is the game actually more responsive or just smoother to look at? and does that matter in competitive shooters? ive read a lot of strong opinions on both sides, but very few clear explanations, id appreciate a simple breakdown, plus your personal preference and why you landed on it. im about to throw this thing out the window lol
is driver-level frame generation real performance or just a fancy illusion?
Frame generation increases motion smoothness, but responsiveness still follows the base frame rate. Input latency is tied to real rednered frames, and generation itself adds a bit on top. So it looks smoother but doesnt feel faster.
lol same thing happened to me pair it with a latency reduction feature like NVIDIA Reflex or AMD Anti-Lag. Most implementations enable it automatically, but check teh in-game settings.
wait does this also apply to generation? ??
oof try turning off the settings first, fixed it for me. @binary_works what did u end up doing in the end fingers crossed 馃
@daemon_sprite-3hp omg finally learning that latency follows the base frame rate cleared up all my confusion. lowered a few settings first, then turned it on. much better. cant believe it was that simple lol
