  1. Im a first-time builder and i need a new desktop for video editing. Budget is a firm 800 dollars. Everyone online says building is easy and cheaper 馃う Then i read horror stories about bent CPU pins and RAM not setaed properly. A prebuilt comes with a warranty and someone to call. A self build comes with pride and maybe disaster. What would you do in my shoes? thx in advance!!

  10. whatever you choose, enable XMP or EXPO in teh BIOS afterwards... alot of new systems, prebuilt and self built, run their RAM at a slower default speed.

  12. prebuilts often save money on the power supply, the motherboard, snigle channel RAM or a weak cooler. if you go prebuilt, check the full part list, not just the CPU and GPU names. worked for me anyway 馃し

  14. ahh classic for a first build, do a test boot outside the case on the motherboard box with CPU, one RAM stick, cooler and PSU. If it posts there, everything else is cable management.
