Accepted solution by Dev Yilmaz — Run a long ping to your router: ping t 192.168.1.1 (use your gateway's IP from ipconfig) :/ any loss or big spikes there means Wi Fi,…
  1. ranked games have become impossible... a racing game shows a packet loss icon randomly, my character jitters, and once teh connection dropped completely:

Im using a 5G home router. Ive restarted the router a hundred times. What should I check next?

The speed test always looks great, which is why Im confused. My download and upload numbers are fine. smth else is clearly going wrong.

  2. if ure on Wi-Fi, powerline or mesh, test with a direct Ethernet cable for one session. if the problem diasppears, its the local link. wi-Fi interference often gets worse in the evening when neighbors are online.

  3. Run a long ping to your router: ping -t 192.168.1.1 (use your gateway's IP from ipconfig) :/ any loss or big spikes there means Wi-Fi, cable or router trouble, not teh internet.

  4. wait what sometimes it really is the game server or a bad route. If many players complain at the same time, its probably not your setup.

  5. @copper_monk891 omg finally ran a cable to my desk and the rubber-banding in a racing game is completely gone... a 5G home router was the culprit all along. seriously made my day 😭🙏
