  1. this is so annoying.. 🤦 my mini PC was fine yesterday... today, after a VPN install:

    Network & internet

    Network & internet
    Wi-Fi • HomeNet_5G
    No internet, secured

Connected, but nothing loads. Troubleshoot problems?

It says connected but nothing loads :) The troubleshooter says something about the default gateway not being available. idk what that means. Id prefer to fix it properly instead of resetting everything blindly. Which commands or settings should i check first to figure out whats actually broken? seriously need help here 😭

  3. oh ive been there lol check whether you got a valid IP address:

    ipconfig /all

If the IPv4 address starts with 169.254, teh convertible laptop didnt get an address from teh router; thats a driver or DHCP issue, not DNS.

  5. been there man reset the network stack from an elevated prompt, then reboot:

    netsh winsock reset
    netsh int ip reset
    ipconfig /flushdns

    worked for me anyway 🤷

lol same thing happened to me if it started after a driver update, open Device Manager > Network adapters > ur Wi-Fi adapter > Driver > Roll Back Driver. If thats greyed out, install the version from the laptop makers support page. worked for me anyway 🤷
