  1. so annoyed rn after waking from sleep, my mini PC connects to Wi-Fi but shows this:

    Network & internet

    Network & internet
    Wi-Fi • HomeNet_5G
    No internet, secured

Connected, but nothing loads. Troubleshoot problems?

No internet, secured. My phone and TV on the same network are fine... i restarted the router and the mini PC. Nothing. Im writing this on my phone. Any ideas? Ive already tried forgetting teh network and reconnecting, and running teh built-in troubleshooter. Neither helped. Id really like to understand where the connection is breaking.

  4. lol same thing happened to me VPN clients sometimes leave a virtual adapter or proxy settings behind 😅 check Settings > Network & internet > Proxy, and uninstall teh VPN completely to test. fingers crossed 🤞

  5. default gateway is not available often comes from Wi-Fi power saving. in the adapters Power Management tab, untick Allow the computer to turn off this device.

  6. oh ive been there lol if it started after a driver update, open Device Manager > Network adapters > your Wi-Fi adapter > Driver > Roll Back Driver. If thats greyed out, install teh version from teh laptop makers support page. fingers crossed 🤞

  12. hmmm check whehter u got a valid IP address:

    ipconfig /all

If teh IPv4 address starts with 169.254, the desktop with a Wi-Fi card didnt get an address from teh router; thats a driver or DHCP issue, not DNS.

  14. ehh id try teh vendor driver before a full network reset. the reset wipes VPN aadpters and saved networks, which is annoying for a work laptop. idk maybe im wrong lol

  15. @nimbus_hound The VPN had left a broken virtual adapter after waking from sleep. Removed it completely and everything works.
