hmmmm ok just finished rewiring my open-frame case build and Im unreasonably proud of it... everything runs behind the motherboard tray, cable combs hold it all in place, and you can finally see teh components instead of a spaghetti mess... show me yours! especially teh back side, since thats where the real story is. i learned alot during this build, mostly by making mistakes and redoing things. happy to share what worked if anyone is about to start their own.
does tidy cabling actually improve airflow, or is that a myth?
About two centimeters beihnd the tray in my open-frame case. idk what else to say tbh
ahh classic same issue here on my laptop. driving me crazy hope that helps :)
ahh classic plan the route befroe plugging anything in... install teh PSU cables you need first, route them through the grommets, and only then mount the motherboard if your case allows it. hope that helps :)
hmmm velcro straps beat zip ties cuz you can redo them without cutitng :) Leave a little slack near connectors sooo they arent under tension.
The 24-pin is the hardest cable to tame. Fold it gently along the grommet and sceure it behind teh tray right next to teh cutout. hope that helps :)
ok update: did what @kai_nimbus said and its fine now
ahh classic in modern cases with a PSU srhoud and rear routing space, airflow differences from tidy cables are small. it mostly matters for maintenance: dust cleaning and part swaps are easier.
@nina_signal removed three unused cables i didnt even know were plugged in. msasive difference.
