is it the driver, dhcp or dns? no internet on a mesh system

    not gonna lie this is driving me nuts my Surface tablet connects to a mesh system without any complaint, but this is what I get:

    Network & internet

    Network & internet
Wi-Fi  •  HomeNet_5G
No internet, secured

Connected, but nothing loads. Troubleshoot problems?

    no internet, secured... my phone on teh same network streams video just fine. I restarted teh router and teh laptop, nothing. I have work to do!

    ive run the Windows network troubleshooter twice. it says it couldnt identify the problem. thx, very helpful. id love a list of things to check in a sensible order sooo Im not just clicking randomly.

    been there man if it started after an update, roll back or update the Wi-Fi driver from the laptop vendors site (Device Manager, teh adapter, Driver tab). also disable Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power on teh adapter.
