ok so check for a static IP or old proxy setting: the adapters IPv4 properties should be on Obtain automatically, and netsh winhttp show proxy plus Settings, Proxy should be empty unless your company uses one.

  1. help!! setting up a Windows 11 laptop for a new colleague 🔥 it joins the hotel Wi-Fi, teh password is accepted, and then:

    Network & internet

    Network & internet
    Wi-Fi • HomeNet_5G
    No internet, secured

Connected, but nothing loads. Troubleshoot problems?

They start tomorrow morning ;) i tried the truobleshooter, it fixed nothing. Any ideas before i just give them my own laptop?

the laptop is brand new out of the box, fully updated, joined to nothing special yet 😭 every other deivce on the hotel Wi-Fi works perfectly. its starting to feel personal. what would you check first??

  2. oof reset the network stack and renew:

    ipconfig /release
    ipconfig /renew
    ipconfig /flushdns
    netsh winsock reset
    netsh int ip reset

then reboot. this clears broken configruations left by VPN clients or security software.

  4. nah tbh i'd look at the access point before teh laptop... if a single client fails DHCP, check teh DHCP pool isn't exhausted; one device is often just the first one to notice.
