    everything else seems fine: fans quiet, srceen perfect, no weird noises. is a single crash on day one normal while Windows pulls updates in the background, or is it a sign of bad RAM or a bad SSD that will get worse after teh 10 day return window closes?

    Run mdsched.exe (Windows Memory Diagnostic) tonight and check the drive with the vendor tool or wmic diskdrive get status. If memory errors show up, do not fix anything, just return it. Hardware faults are exactly what the return window is for. good luck man!

    Also check sfc /scannow and DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth in an admin terminal. Factory images are not always perfect, and a broken system file can cause random crashes that look like hardware.

    ehh honestly i would return it anyway. u paid for new, and the peace of mind is worth the hassle of a swap. exchange it for the same model if u liked everything else.
