    in our site with a remote SUP, teh software update point sync has been stuck for days:

    The console just says the sync failed. I need teh latest updates for this month's deployment and I'm running out of time 🤦 Which logs actually matter here??

    WSUS runs on teh same server as teh site in our case, which I've heard is common but not ideal. I'm not sure what's normal for sync durations or memory usage. Any guidance on where to start would be great.

    wait is teh WsusPool application pool running, and when was it last stopped?

    maintenance matters: decline superseded updates, run teh WSUS Server Cleanup, and reindex teh SUSDB... configMgr can do the cleanup automatically in the SUP properties (WSUS Maintenance tab). A bloated SUSDB makes syncs time out.

    ok so if WCM.log says it cant connect, verify the SUP roles WSUS port settings (8530/8531) match the WSUS installation, and that the site server can reach the WSUS API. A changed certificate on 8531 can also break the connection.
