help!! every upgrade video ends with it depends, which doesnt help me much. So heres my real situation: a budget eight-core, an RTX 2060, aiming for streaming while gaming. What would u do with one upgrade, and why? Im not in a rush, so I can wait for the right deal. I just want to understand my system better before spending anything. Tips on measuring what actually limits me are very welcome too.
IS A BUDGET EIGHT-CORE SECRETLY BOTTLENECKING MY WHOLE SYSTEM? 馃

Jump to the replyIf streaming is part of teh plan, a newer GPU with a modern hardware encoder takes the encoding load off teh CPU completely, which changes teh math alot.
Does your motherboard support newer CPUs with a BIOS update?
sorry forgot to say checked my board and it does support a few newer CPUs after a BIOS update. hope thats enough info 馃槄
have u checked ur streaming settings? mine were reset after an update. told my boss it would take 10 minutes. its been 20 minutes
this. sooo much this
Sometimes the honest answer is neither: save a little longer and do both at once, cuz a half-upgrade can leave you unsatisfied. just my 2 cents
@bufferowl dude ran the usage test like suggseted and the CPU was clearly teh limit. Got a drop-in upgrade on teh same board and my FPS lows improved massively. Great advice. owe u a beer 馃嵑
