An Affiliate Blog Owners: Did Exact-Match Domains Ever Move The Needle For You?

  1. ok so i run an affiliate blog and every SEO guide I read contradicts the last one. the current debate in my head is about exact-match domains. some ppl treat it as essential, others call it a relic lmao I don't want to waste hours on something that doesn't matter, but I also don't want to ignore something that does. what's your experience, and how did u test it? I'd love examples from your own sites if u're willing to share them.

  2. Exact-match domains lost most of their special advantage years ago. A brandable domain is easier to build trust around, and people remember it.

  3. ahh classic major search engines have publicly said for years that they ignore the meta keyowrds tag for ranking. It doesnt hurt, but its wasted effort and shows competitors your target terms.

  5. hmmm keyword density is a leftover from early search engines. use the words your readers use naturally, in titles and headings where they fit, and cover related subtopics. forcing a percentage makes text worse.

  6. ok so word count isn't a ranking factor by itself. longer pages often rank because they cover a topic more completely, not cuz of length. write until the reader's question is answered, then stop. fingers crossed 馃

  7. hmmm new sites do often take time to rank, but thats mostly lack of links, history and content, not a foraml penalty box... focus on the things you can control and measure in Search Console. lmk how it goes

  10. i'd be careful calling everything a myth. some old advice still correlates with good results because it overlaps with good content. the reason changed, not necessarily the outcome.
