  1. Got a proposal from an SEO consultant for an affiliate blog, and a big part of it revolves around word count targets. It sounded convincing in teh meeting, but afterwards i found forum posts calling it outdated. Im not trying to bash anyone, i just wanna know if this is still a sensible priority in your expeirence. Not looking for a fight, just hnoest experience from people whove tested it. thx in advance!!

  3. the consultant wants every page of an affiliate blog rewritten around word count targets. that's a lot of hours. sorry for the wall of text lol

  4. been there man new sites do often take time to rank, but thats mostly lack of links, history and content, not a formal penalty box... focus on the things you can control and measure in Search Console.

  5. word count isnt a ranking fatcor by itself... longer pages often rank cuz they cover a topic more completely, not because of legnth, write until teh readers question is answered, then stop. worked for me anyway 🤷

keyword density is a leftover from early search engines. use the words your readers use naturally, in titles and headings where they fit, and cover related subtopics. forcing a percentage makes text worse.

  7. id be careful calling everything a myth, some old advice still correlates with good results because it overlaps with good content. the reason changed, not necessarily the outcome. idk maybe im wrong lol

  8. @quiet_loop omg finally I'll run a small test on ten pages and compare clicks over a couple of months. Glad I asked before committing to the whole site.
