i keep seeing Unknown device on fresh installs and i never know which driver it needs. This time its on my mini PC. Can someone explain how to identify it using hardware IDs and where to get the right driver safely? :/ Ideally Id like a method i can reuse next time instead of asking every time. Thanks! A quick explanation goes a long way.
which asrock package fixes the unknown device with a yellow mark??
Accepted solution
Jump to the replythe hardware ID starts with a vendor ID that matches ASRock.
yeahhh the Microsoft Update Catalog can search by hardware ID and often has the matching driver package.
nothing is more permanent than a temporary workaround

download drivers from the PC or motherboard maker's support page for your exact model, their package lists usually include chipset, ME, serial IO and platform drivers.
