quadro & geforce driver update and now my screen looks like a broken mosaic

reset any overclock or undervolt, especially memory clock, artifacts that look like small colored blocks are often VRAM instability, and a driver update can change memory behaivor enough to tip a marginal OC over.

    so annoyed rn so this is new. artifacts in 3D apps, and only since updating Quadro & GeForce Driver from NVIDIA.

    I've already rebooted three times. They don't show up on the BIOS screen as far as I can tell, only once Windows loads. Is that a meaningful clue? I'm happy to run tests, I just need to know which ones make sense. I have not overclocked anything on purpose, but I did install a tuning tool a while back. I want to rule out teh cheap explanations before I start pricing replacement cards.

    your BIOS observation is a good clue.. 馃槀 if artifacts appear only after Windows loads the driver, but not in BIOS or in Safe Mode (which uses the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter), that leans towards driver/software. if they show up in BIOS too, think hardware. hope that helps :)

    same issue here on my homelab box. glad im not the only one. spent two days on nvidia and im still not done hope that helps :)

    hmmm do a proper clean install of teh previous driver: download it from the NVIDIA support page, boot into Safe Mode, run DDU, reboot, then install. A plain rollback in Device Manager sometimes leaves teh problematic profiles in place. fingers crossed 馃

    make a backup before u touch teh firmware, learned that the hard way. told my boss it would take 10 minutes. its been all weekend

    @shader_otter dude sadly it was hardware. Artifacts showed in BIOS after a few days lol Warranty claim is in. thx for hleping me figure it out fast. seriously made my day 馃槶馃檹
