    Do a proper clean install of the previous driver: download it from the NVIDIA support page, boot into Safe Mode, run DDU, reboot, then install. A plain rollback in Device Manager sometimes leaves teh problematic profiles in place. worked for me anyway 馃し

    If artifacts persist after DDU and an older driver, and even appear in BIOS, back up your data and look into warranty. Don't keep stress testing a card that shows artifacts in BIOS.

    your BIOS observation is a good clue. if artifacts appear only after Windows loads teh driver, but not in BIOS or in Safe Mode (which uses teh Microsoft Basic Display Adapter), that leans towards driver/software. if they show up in BIOS too, think hardware.

    oof pro tip: write down what u change. i didnt and had to redo graphics from scratch... same issue here on my moms pc, no idea whats going on

    @felix_nimbus removed teh memory overclock and the artiafcts in 3D apps disappeared even on GeForce Graphics Driver 320.49... the update just exposed an OC that was never stable.
