  1. hmmmm ok im doing a subscription purge lol Currently eleven active. My plan is to keep only what I use weekly and replace the rest, starting with my office suite 👍 Before I start, what alternatives have actually wokred for u, and what did you regret cancleling? Im not trying to go completely free, just to stop paying for things I barely touch. Stories of switches that went badly are just as useful as success stories. thx in advance!!

  3. lol same thing happened to me for offline tools, look at one-time purchase alternatives or open source options. many popular categories, from office suites to photo editors and note apps, have capable free alternatives. try them for a week before deciding.

  4. before cancelling anything that holds your data, export it first in an open format lol notes as Markdown or plain text, passwords as an encrypted export, photos as originals. lock-in is the real cost of subscriptions. lmk how it goes

  5. ahh classic antivirus is a good example of a subscription many home users can drop... the built-in protection in modern Windows is solid for most ppl, combined with sensible hbaits and updates.

  7. @dario_cobalt down from eleven to four subscriptions... exported everything first... feels like a weight off my shoulders. seriously made my day 😭🙏
