Do you transcode everything, or just hope playback holds up?

  1. ok so hot take: editing native is overrated for most projects. Or is it? I edit 6K RAW on an older workstation, and Id love to hear real experiences before I commit to a workflow. Experiences from people with similar hardware would be esepcially valuable. What made you choose ur current approach? Any advice is welcome, especially from people with similar hardware :D I will report back with what I pick.

  8. hmmm check if ur GPU supports hardware decoding for your exact codec profile 馃憤 if it does, native editing may work fine. if not, proxies help hugely. hope that helps :)

  9. ahh classic in Resolve, proixes are generated per clip and u can toggle them on and off with Playback > Use Proxy Media if Available.. 馃槫 when exporting, Resolve uses the original files automatically.
