im on Python 3.12 in the venv but the system Python is older. I never noticed cuz teh version banner looked similar. sorry for the wall of text lol
@copperfox Staying on teh gaming branch since Ive had no problems, but now i know switching is easy if i ever need to. Thanks!
no real problems sooo far, it's preventive. I just don't want surprises during a project. hope thats enough info 😅 it works on my machine™
@ibrandt what did u end up doing in the end
ok so spent my entire lunch break on request and im still not done.. 😤 same issue here on my office machnie, no idea whats going on thx in advance!!
@priya.pereira omggg removed the memory overclock and teh artifacts in video playback disappeared even on ForceWare Driver 91.47. the update just exposed an OC that was never stable.
ahh right took a screenshot and teh artifacts are visible in it too, sooo its not teh cable. idk what else to say tbh
@anika.haddad20 did u ever fix it??
@kofi rusty WOWWW it was the power cable. One daisy chained cable on a hungry card. Swapped to two separate cables and the small form factor PC hasn't blacked out since 🤷 Lesson learned.
ok so the small form factor PC had a factory OC profile turned on in teh vendor app. I didnt even know it was there.
pro tip: write down what u change. i didnt and had to redo intel from scratch. my gaming rig is officially haunted
Reset any overclock or undervolt, especially memory clock. Artifacts that look like small colored blocks are often VRAM instability, and a driver update can change memory behavior enough to tip a marginal OC over.
ahh classic honestly just reset the power plan and save yourself the pain. spent half the night on artifacts and im still not done
been there man check that the PCIe power connectors are fully seated and not melted or discolored. Power issues can produce artifacts under load. hope that helps :)
