yeahhh never opened msinfo32 in 15 years of Windows. the BaseBoard line alone would have saved me opening my case twice. worked for me anyway 馃し
Yes, theres a short USB extension in between. Didnt think it mattered.
hmm idk not every TDR is the driver. if the black screens continue on two different driver versions, Id start testing the card and PSU instead of hopping versions.
Some ppl raise TdrDelay in teh registry to hide this... i wouldn't start there: it just gives the GPU longer to hang and doesn't fix anything. Use it as a diagnostic at most, and remove it afterwards. fingers crossed 馃
@joonh887 the game had dropped back to the integrated GPU. set it to High performance and an open world RPG runs better than before. wow. seriously made my day 馃槶馃檹
@joon proxy sadly it was hardware. artifacts showed in BIOS after a few days. warranty claim is in. thanks for helping me figure it out fast.
