  1. im literally losing my mind here quick tip before you touch any BIOS setting:

    1. Press Win+R. 2... type msinfo32.
    2. read System Summary.

youll see BIOS Version/Date, BIOS Mode, Secure Boot State, BaseBoard Manufacturer and Product, and whether virtualization features are enabled in firmware... for TPM, run tpm.msc instead. I used this to check Windows 11 requirements without any downloads, and it took less than a minute 馃檹 no more rebooting into the BIOS just to read a setting.

    facepalm

  2. is this a prebuilt or a custom PC? prebuilts sometimes show OEM names instead of teh real board. ??

  3. yeahhh never opened msinfo32 in 15 years of Windows. the BaseBoard line alone would have saved me opening my case twice. worked for me anyway 馃し

  7. msinfo32 is great, but it can be slow to load the full component tree on some machines. patience.
