ok so i read that modern GPUs support smth called Resizable BAR, which lets the CPU access the whole graphics memory instead of small chunks 馃槫 On my board it was off. To turn it on i had to:
- make sure the BIOS is in UEFI mode with CSM disabled.
- Enable "Above 4G Decoding".
- Enable "Re-Size BAR Support".
After a reboot, NVIDIA Control Panel > System Information shows "Resizable BAR: Yes". Gains depend on teh game, but it was free to enable. Why isnt this on by default? thx in advance!!
