check that teh PCIe power connectors are fully seated and not melted or discolored. power isuses can produce artifacts under load.

  1. hmmmm ok i installed teh NVIDIA GeForce Graphics Driver 390.77 update last night and this morning my gaming desktop looked like this in teh browser:

    gpu artifacts

little colored blocks, flickering lines, sometimes a whole strip of the screen goes green for a moment. it doesnt crash, it just looks horrible... my stomach dropped cuz artifacts usually mean dying hardware, right? but its suspicious that it started exactly after the update... how do I tell which one it is without spending money? seriously need help here 😭

  4. lol same thing happened to me test with a second display output or a different port... if artifacts move with the screen content in screenshots, it's rendering (GPU), if they don't appear in a screenshot but do on the monitor, the cable, port or monitor itself is involved.
