  1. every family has one person who 'knows computers'. in mine, that's me. yesterday my dad called in a panic: 'a virus is in teh printer'. I drove over, expecting the worst. the real cause was so simple I almost cried laughing. I'd love to hear your stories. what's the funniest, strangest or most heartwarming tech support moment you've had with family? bonus points for happy endings. what am i doing wrong??

  2. oof be kind about it. people who didnt grow up with computers are often embarrassed to ask... making it feel safe to ask early prevents a lot of bigger problems.

  9. ok so boundaries matter. I tell family Ill help with anything once, but if they want something set up, we do it together so they learn. Some do, and its surprisingly rewarding.
