  1. guys pls help ranked games have become imposisble. a racing game shows a packet loss icon after about 10 minutes of play, my character jitters, and once teh connection dropped completely:

    Network & internet

    Network & internet
    Wi-Fi • HomeNet_5G
    No internet, secured

Connected, but nothing loads. Troubleshoot problems?

Im using Ethernet through a switch. Ive restarted the router a hundred times. What should i check next?

The speed test always looks great, which is why Im confuesd. My download and upload numbers are fine. Something else is clearly going wrong.

  2. Measure where teh loss happens. Run pathping 8.8.8.8 (or the game server's IP if known) on Windows. It shows packet loss per hop. Loss at your first hop (your router) means a local problem; loss starting further out points to the ISP or route.

  3. ok so if youre on Wi-Fi, powerline or mesh, test with a direct Ethernet cable for one session. If teh problem disappears, its the local link. Wi-Fi intefrerence often gets worse in the evening when neighbors are online.

Run a long ping to your router: ping -t 192.168.1.1 (use ur gateways IP from ipconfig). Any loss or big spikes there means Wi-Fi, cable or router trouble, not the interent.
