  1. im literally losing my mind here not talking about big obvious apps, more teh tiny utilities that quietly save you time every day.

mine is a clipboard history manager. i didn't think i needed one, but now i can't imagine going back to only remembering the last thing i copied.

whats yours?? bonus if its something people dont think to install.

  2. ah, I went through something similar. A text expander. I type a short abbreviation and it expands into a full snippet: email signature, common replies, todays date, code boilerplate. I use it dozens of times a day without thinking about it. lmk how it goes

  3. hi! lmao A keyboard-driven app launcher. hit a shortcut, type a few letters, enter 🙏 opening apps, files, and even doing quick calculations without touching the mouse... every OS has a few options for this. good luck man!

  4. On teh command line: a fuzzy finder for hitsory and files. Instead of scrolling back through hundreds of commands, i type a few fragments and pick teh right one. Changed how i use the terminal. hope that helps :)

  5. @lucar37 small counterpoint about piling up utilities: every background tool is another thing to update, another thing that might break after an OS update, and in some cases another thing with access to your clipboard or keystrokes. worth being picky and only keeping the ones you actually use daily.

good luck! hope that helps :)

  6. hmmm Window snapping / tiling with keyboard shortctus... on a wide monitor, being able to throw a window to a third or half of the screen instantly is a huge improvement over dragging things around. fingers crossed 🤞
