  1. ugh. im a solo freelancer, and our tool list keeps growing while teh budget doesnt. right now Im looking at website analytics, which is currently a patchwork of free accounts and spreadsheets. there are dozens of options and every review site seems to rank them differently. id love to hear what people in a similar position actually use day to day, what it costs u in time or money, and whether ud choose it again. any ideas??

  2. ahh classic password sharing for teams needs per-person accounts, not one shared login. Look for a manager with shared valuts, two-factor enforcement and the ability to revoke someones access in one click when they leave.

  4. yeahhh for transactional email, separate it from marketing email. Use a dedicated service or subdomain so a newsletter complaint spike doesnt hurt password resets and invoices. worked for me anyway 🤷

Self-hosting looks free but ure paying with maintenance time. For monitoring and backups specifically, i prefer an external service: if your server dies, a self-hosted monitor on the same server dies with it. hope that helps :)
