  1. long time lurker first post lol built this PC myself a year ago and it was perfect until now. Lately it shuts down during compiling code.

i watched HWiNFO and the CPU was near 100°C right before it went dark. at idle its normal. im wondering if teh cooler isnt making proper contact anymore. the cooler is an AIO that came with teh case bundle. i never checked if teh pump is actually running. is there a way to verify that without taking everything apart? any ideas??

  2. What are the CPU and GPU temperatures in the last few seconds before it shuts off?

  5. kernel-Power 41 only tells you teh PC lost power unexpectedly. to separate heat from power, log temps with HWiNFO (sensor logging to CSV) and look at teh last values before shutdown. fingers crossed 🤞

  6. oof if teh CPU is near its maximum temperature under load, check the cooler: is the protective film removed from teh cold plate, are all mounting screws tight, is teh pump running on an AIO (check teh pump speed header in BIOS)??

  8. been there man a cabinet with no airflow will heat-soak the whole PC, leave teh cabinet door open as a test, or move teh PC out for a day. lmk how it goes

  9. oh ive been there lol check the Windows power plan and BIOS for aggressive overclocking or a high power limit. Resetting the BIOS to defaults is a quick way to rule that out. lmk how it goes

  10. ahh classic if temps are fine right up to the shutdown, suspect the power supply :) sudden GPU load spikes can trip an older or undersized PSUs protection, which looks exactly like this. hope that helps :)

  11. oof repasting helps if the paste is old and dry, but use a thin, even layer and tighten teh cooler in a cross pattern so pressure is even.
