Accepted solution by Ines — ok so make sure Windows is fully updated and Secure Boot / TPM settings match what the game requires. some newer anti cheats refuse to run…
  1. My friends are waiting in the lobby and i literally cannot join. a battle royale says the anti-cheat serivce failed to start, and i got this:

    USB Audio Device Properties

    USB Audio Device Properties
    Device status:
    This device cannot start. (Code 10)

    {Operation Failed}
    The requested operation was unsuccessful.

    it mentions a driver being incompatible with teh anti-cheat. I have never used a cheat in my life 🙏 I suspect a blocklisted driver, but I dont even know how to check. please help before my squad replaces me.

    i already reinstalled the game, restarted twice and made sure Windows is up to date. my account is in good standing, no bans or warnings. it's purely a launch problem on this PC.

  6. lol same thing happened to me old RGB, fan cnotrol and hardware monitoring tools often install outdated kernel drivers (for example ones based on WinRing0). Update teh tool to its current version or uninstall it completely, then reboot 🔥 Just closing teh app isnt enough cuz teh driver stays loaded. lmk how it goes

  7. oof run fltmc in an elevated terminal and driverquery /v to see loaded drivers lmao anything from a tool u no longer use is a candidate to remove. hope that helps :)

  8. most kernel anti-cheats log the exact driver they reject, check teh anti-cheats log folder (usually inside teh game folder or in %ProgramFiles(x86)% under the anti-cheats name) and look for a .sys filename. That tells you exactly which tool is responsible.

  9. yeahhh dont disable Memory Integrity blindly. If Windows Security says Memory Integrity cant be enabled cuz of incomaptible drivers, that list is actually a great hint: the same drivers often trigger anti-cheat blocks. Remove those drivers instead. fingers crossed 🤞

  10. lol same thing happened to me repair the anti-cheat sevrice itself. Most games ship a setup tool in the instlal folder (look for an EasyAntiCheat or similar folder with a setup executable) that has a Repair Service option. fingers crossed 🤞

  11. ok so make sure Windows is fully updated and Secure Boot / TPM settings match what the game requires. some newer anti-cheats refuse to run when Secure Boot is disabled in BIOS. lmk how it goes
