  1. I keep getting rubber-banded in a fighting game. I run forward, then snap back two seconds later. It happens randomly. I'm on a powerline adapter. Then my PC briefly showed this:

Speed tests look perfect. How do i figure out where the packet loss happens?

I already restarted teh router, closed downloads and asked others at home not to stream while I play. It helps a bit, but teh problem still comes back.

  3. if the loss appears at an ISP hop and continues to teh destination, collect a few pathping results at different times and send them to ur ISP... concrete data gets much better support.

  4. Accepted solution

yeahhh measure where the loss happens... run pathping 8.8.8.8 (or the game servers IP if known) on Windows. it shows packet loss per hop. loss at your first hop (your router) means a local problem; loss starting further out points to teh ISP or route. hope that helps :)

  5. ehh sometimes it really is teh game server or a bad route... if many players complain at the same time, its probably not ur setup. just my 2 cents
