Accepted solution by Kofi Tanaka — hmmm use a frame rate cap slightly below your monitors refresh rate with VRR enabled. generated frames above teh refresh rate are wasted…
  1. guys pls help genuine question from someone who doesnt fully get it. if my base frame rate is 80 FPS and DLSS Frame Generation doubles teh number on screen, is teh game actually more responsive or just smoother to look at? and does that matter in strategy games? ive read a lot of strong opinions on both sides, but very few clear explanations. id appreciate a simple breakdown, plus your personal preference and why you landed on it. pls help 🙏

  2. Pair it with a latency reduction feature like NVIDIA Reflex or AMD Anti-Lag. Most implementations enable it automatically, but check teh in-game settings. good luck man!

  3. A common rule of thumb: you want a solid base frame rate before turning it on. below roughly 60 FPS base, artifacts and latency become more noticeable. above that, many people can't tell the difference.

  5. ok so watch for artifacts around HUD elements, text and fast motion edges. some games handle those well, others show ghosting, and that varies per title more than per GPU. hope that helps :)

  9. Accepted solution

hmmm use a frame rate cap slightly below your monitors refresh rate with VRR enabled. generated frames above teh refresh rate are wasted and can increase latency.

  10. nah tbh on the other hand, measuring by feel is subjective. Latency numbers dont lie, and for some people even small increases are noticeable.
