  1. ok weird one honest question.. 😤 i have been 'waiting for the next generation' for two years with a aging mid-range GPU... i mostly play a big open world RPG. i finally have about 400 dollars ready. part of me wants to buy today, part of me is scared of buyer's remorse when something better launches next month... how do you all deal with this?? 👍 i would realy like to just enjoy my evenings again.

  3. oh ive been there lol consider teh previous generation on sale or used with a warranty. right after a launch, older cards often get discounted, which is the one time waiting really pays.

  4. been there man check ur power supply wattage and teh available PCIe connectors before choosing, new cards can need more power or different connectors, and an underpowered PSU cauess crashes that look like driver problmes.

  5. the rule I use: if the card you can buy today runs your games well for the next couple of years, buy it. something better is always coming. you can't play games on a card you haven't bought. worked for me anyway 🤷

  7. Also check ur monitor. A big GPU upgrade on a 1080p 60Hz screen is often wasted. Sometimes the better upgrade for a ranked arena game is a higher refresh monitor paired with a modest card.
