  1. long time lurker first post lol trynig to understand VRR properly. my setup: monitor with adaptive sync, compatible GPU, cable that supports the full refresh rate.

when FPS is inside the VRR range its lovely... when it goes above teh max refresh, i get tearing, or if i turn V-Sync on, i can feel extra input lag... whats teh "right" configuraiton here?

  2. yeahhh on teh frame limiter: an in-game limiter is usually better for latency than an external one, if the game has a decent implementation, since it can pace frames inside the engine... driver-level limiters are a solid second choice, external tools work too, but can add a little latency depending on how they hook in. lmk how it goes

  3. well... are you seieng tearing near teh top or bottom of the screen? tearing at the very bottom can still appear with VRR when frame times spike.

  4. refresh is set correctly in the OS, double-checked. tearing shows mostly mid-screen, and only when FPS is above max refresh 👍 within range its clean. idk what else to say tbh
