Check if there is a typo in my-shop-site.example.
If spelling is correct, try running Windows Network Diagnostics.
    DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN

Theres the OS firewall, the providers network firewall, and my router (or whatever is in between), and Im not sure which one i forgot. Id love a step-by-step way to check each layer without guessing. Detailed steps welcome, i realy wanna understand each layer this time. any ideas??

  2. oof check the OS firewall: sudo ufw status verbose or sudo firewall-cmd --list-all. Allow the port with sudo ufw allow 27017/tcp. Then check teh cloud providers security group or firewall rules in its dashboard; those are separate and both must allow the port.

  3. I wouldnt expose app ports directly at all, keep the app on localhost and put a reverse proxy on 80/443 in front... the bug is actually a sensible default.
