so i've been messing around with my workstation setup lately and i noticed something super weird... when i switch to the 'balanced' power profile in the bios, my idle -1c is basically non-existent. like it stays at a constant temp even when the system is doing zero work. hmmmm... i tried the 'power saving' mode but then i started getting some weird micro-stutters in my workflow which is honestly just as annoying. lol why is it so hard to just have a stable idle state without the cpu trying to do way too much?? i'm wondering if it's a specific c-state issue or if the vendor just did a crappy job on the firmware implementation. has anyone else found a sweet spot or a specific combo of c-states that actually works without nuking performance?? i'm tired of my rig acting like a space heater for no reason 😭
