  1. help!! trying to do a fresh install of Windows on my laptops replacement SSD, and teh installer says there are no drives:

    USB Audio Device Properties

    USB Audio Device Properties
    Device status:
    This device cannot start. (Code 10)

    {Operation Failed}
    The requested operation was unsuccessful.

    it asks me to load a driver, but I dont know which one. the drive shows in teh BIOS, sooo its not completely dead. what am I missing?? id rather not spend hours searching random forums for drivers, especially when Im not sure what Im looking for. any pointers would save my evening. thx in advance!!

  3. ok but hmmm since its showing up in bios but not the installer..... u tried using a different usb port for the boot drive? also do u know if its an nvme or just a standard sata m.2? sometimes teh installer needs a specific raid or storage controller driver depending on what chip teh laptop uses..... maybe if u can share teh laptop model i could try to see what usually works there??

  4. it's an NVMe drive, not SATA. i'm using a fairly recent laptop model, but i honestly dont know the exact chipset specs... i just know it worked fine for a bit until i tried to start the install. i've tried switching between the USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports on the side but no luck, it still keeps throwing that same error or just showing nothing in the list.

    imo it feels like some kind of weird conflict because of that USB Audio error too, but i dont really get how they're linked lol. i'm pretty sure it's a storage controller issue since it's NVMe, but i'm struggling to figure out which specific driver to inject into the installer. i'd really appreciate it if someone could point me toward the right one so i can finally get this thing running... my head is spinning from looking at these logs for way too long. 😭
