  1. ok so my older Xbox One controller keeps disconnecting from my Xbox Series X when the battery is half full. The game pauses and i get this:

    Controller disconnected

    Controller disconnected
Reconnect the wireless controller to continue.
Press the home button on the controller,
or connect it with a USB cable.

i put in fresh batteries, i re-paired it with the sync button, and i even moved closer to the TV. It reconnects after a few seconds, but in competitive games those seconds matter. Is there something in settings, or is the controller faulty?

I tried a second controller from a friend for comparison, and it seemed a bit better, but I'm not sure if that was luck. I'd rather understand the cause.

RAM prices doing their own thing again smh

  8. oh ive been there lol if you have many wireless devices paired to the console, remove the ones you don't use 😭 Fewer active connections can reduce dropouts. good luck man!

day one patch is bigger than the actual game, classic

  10. batteries matter more than ppl think. low-quality or partly drained rechargeables can drop voltage under rumble. test with fresh alkaline AAs or a USB cable to rule this out.

  11. if one controller drops and another doesn't in the same place, teh controller is likely teh problem :/ if both drop, look at placement and interference first.

  13. ok so update teh controller firmware. on the console open teh Xbox Accessories app, select teh controller and check for updates. connect it with a USB cable while updating. fingers crossed 🤞

  14. Re-pair properly: press the pair button on the console, then hold the pair button on the controller until teh Xbox button flashes fast 😂 Do this after the firmware update. hope that helps :)

oh ive been there lol move the console out of teh cabinet or away from metal and other wireless devices. Xbox controllers use their own wireless protocol on the console, and enclosed spaces and interference cause exactly this pattern.

  16. @luckyfox It was the batteries. Rechargeables were dying under load. New ones and my older Xbox One controller is stable.
