Accepted solution by Kai H. — ahh classic for 120 Hz and 4K, use teh HDMI cable that came with the console or a certified Ultra High Speed cable, and plug into the TVs…
  1. im literally losing my mind here i was messing with the video settings on my Xbox One S after plugging into a new TV, and now my TV with a capture card in between just shows this:

    No Signal

    No Signal
    HDMI 2
Check the cable connection and the input source.

the console turns on, i hear the startup sound, the controller connects, but the screen stays black. i cant change teh setting back because i cant see anything. plaese tell me theres a way out of this that doesnt invlove another TV.

im really hoping this is just a settings problem and not something broken. the console was working perfectly a few minutes before i chagned that setting.

  3. once the picture is back, go to Settings > General > TV & display options and set teh resolution and refresh rate step by step. change one thing at a time and confirm each.

  4. after fixing it, use the 4K TV details screen in teh TV & display options. it shows which modes teh console thinks ur display supports.

ahh classic for 120 Hz and 4K, use teh HDMI cable that came with the console or a certified Ultra High Speed cable, and plug into the TVs HDMI 2.1 port... many TVs only support high refresh on specific ports. worked for me anyway 🤷

  6. Low-res mode is the right first step, but some displays also need to be power-cycled after teh console changes mode. Unplug the TV for a minute too. idk maybe im wrong lol
