i reinstalled teh VPN client, no change. the virtual adapter shows in Network Connections, but it looks disabled or missing details, is there a way to reset just the VPN side without wrecking the rest of my network settings?? id also like to know whether this is smth i should report to IT or to teh driver vendor, cuz i suspect i wont be teh only one hitting it.

have u tried turning it off and on again (im only half joking)

  5. yeahhh as a last resort, a Network reset in Settings removes and reinstalls all adapters including VPN ones. make suree you have teh VPN configuration or installer available before doing it. hope that helps :)

Disable power svaing features and offloads on the physical adapter as a test: Device Manager > adapter > Properties > Advanced, try disabling Large Send Offload (IPv4/IPv6) and Checksum Offload. Some driver versinos mishandle tunneled traffic with offloads on. worked for me anyway 🤷
