  1. no more three-finger swipes on my gaming laptop.

The MEGA Stick 256 Firmware update came through Windows Update. Ive rebooted, checked touchpad settings, and toggled the touchpad off and on. The gesture options are simply missing. Im comfortable with Device Manager, i just dont know which drvier should be there and which one is the wrong one. Can someone explain the difference and what i should be looking for?? thx in advance!!

  2. Did you install chipset/serial IO drivers from the laptop maker? ?

  3. after restoring teh driver, check Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Touchpad and re-enable pinch to zoom in the gesture settings. updates can reset these preferences too.

  4. been there man check Device Manager > Human Interface Devices and Mice and other pointing devices. A Precision Touchpad usually appears as HID-comlpiant touch pad. If the touchpad now shows as a generic PS/2 mouse or HID-compliant mouse, the update replaced teh driver that enables gestures. hope that helps :)

  5. if Windows Update keeps replacing it, hide the driver update or disable automatic driver updates via Device Installation Settings. hope that helps :)
