i've always installed the full package for printers without thinking. This time, for a office laser printer, i'd like to be more selective. i need just printing. What's actually useful in these suites, and what can safely be skipped? i'd love a short list of what's worth keeping and what's safe to skip. Practical experience beats marketing pages every time. The basic driver covers printing with most settings (duplex, trays, quality). The full suite adds scanning tools, status monitors, ink alerts, firmware updaters and sometimes cloud features. worked for me anyway 🤷
