  1. calls with clients now come with a free percussion track... my audio crackles while watching videos, through headphones, and started right after a driver update.

    USB Audio Device Properties

    USB Audio Device Properties
    Device status:
    This device cannot start. (Code 10)

    {Operation Failed}
    The requested operation was unsuccessful.

    Ive disabled all the sound enhancements i could find, set teh power plan to High performance, and rebooted. Its a little better, not gone 👍 Is there a way to see which driver is causing delays? Ive heard about DPC latency but have no idea how to measure it properly. any ideas??

  2. yeahhh run LatencyMon for 10 to 15 minutes while reproducing the crackle.. 😭 look at Highest reported DPC routine execution time and which driver it names... network, storage and GPU drivers are common culprits, not only teh audio driver.

    day one patch is bigger than the actual game, classic

  5. yeahhh roll back the audio driver in Device Manager > Properties > Driver > Roll Back Driver, or install the previous package from teh device or motherboard makers support page 🔥 if the crackle disappears, uve confirmed it. hope that helps :)

  6. Open mmsys.cpl > ur playback device > Properties > Advanced. try a different default format (for example 24-bit, 48000 Hz vs 16-bit, 44100 Hz) and untick Allow applciations to take exclusive control as a test. also check the Enhancements tab and disable them.

  9. If you're on USB audio, try a rear motherboard port rather than a hub or front panel, and disable USB selective suspend under Power Options > Advanced settings.
