ugh. question for the network folks: do you install network drivers from the chip maker or from your PC maker? Im looking at WUSB11-CA(FR) - Instant Wireless USB Network Adapter from Linksys for my laptop. My prioirty is battery life. Is there any real risk in going newer than what the PC maker supports? Im not having serious issues right now, which is exactly why Im cautious 馃し Id rather not trade a working setup for a slightly newer version number unless theres a clear beenfit. any ideas??
laptop makers wi-fi driver or linksyss newest wusb11-ca(fr) - instant wireless usb network adapter??
PC makers someitmes customize drivers for their hardware: antenna configuration, power management, or combined Wi-Fi/Bluetooth behavior :/ the chip maker's generic driver usually works fine but may not include those tweaks. worked for me anyway 馃し
been there man try turning off the update first, fixed it for me
following, having the same problem. pro tip: write down what u change. i didnt and had to redo wusb11-ca(fr) from scratch
